Classic, to me, is something that's timeless, enduring. The things that never go out of style. ~ Ralph Lauren
The WSJ article I read last week on lack of dress codes in today's society inspired me to dedicate an entire series of posts to classic timeless wedding elegance. What happened to wearing polished shoes vs. TOMs or Converse? Or Navy blazers with brass buttons vs. flannel shirts? While I do think unique, vintage, & DIY-inspired weddings are pretty & romantic, there is nothing like a simple classic wedding to look back upon decades from now and think "wow that was beautiful" vs. "what was I thinking?"I love white weddings. I love black tuxedos. I love pearls, lace & veils. I love traditional churches with stained glass windows. I love tiered wedding cakes. I love hand calligraphy invitations and black & white photographs {just to name a few}.To start off the week & to show my love for the timeless weddings, here are some traditional black tuxedo inspirations for the groom. There's nothing like a crisp white tux shirt, monogrammed cuff links and a clean sleek lapel to add to the elegance.
